Born as Sean and later known as “Disco,” his creative spark ignited between 1981 and 1982. From an early age, music wasn’t just something he heard—it was something he made. Whether tapping rhythms on everyday objects or turning the streets into soundscapes, Disco’s talent drew the attention of elders in the Washington Park Homes at 6217 S. Calumet, where he was raised.

As radio DJs began shaping the sound of the city, Disco’s passion deepened. Influenced by Italio and Chicago House legends of the early ’80s, he found his calling behind the turntables—and DJ Disco was born.

His impact stretched across Chicagoland’s nightlife and the Male/Female Entertainment scene, leaving unforgettable marks in clubs and communities alike. With each beat and blend, his creativity grew—and so did his legend.

To this day, DJ Disco remains a benevolent force in the culture, still inspiring, still creating, still representing the soul of music.
